Our little girl turned 6 years old on January 2nd! Gosh that seems so old to me! In 10 years she will be 16! So crazy!
This year we did things a little different in terms of celebrating....we had one smaller party with family members and another with just her girlfriends. The "friend" party was a whole new thing for us this year but it turned out really well.

My parents were also here on her birthday so they were able to celebrate with us as well. Here she is opening her gifts from Nana Bobbie and Papa Ken.
We all went out to eat that evening like we always do on someone's birthday. Here Sophia is eating her birthday dessert...yummy!

For our family gathering we had Jeff, Susie and their kids as well as my parents over for some pizza and cake. Sophia is ready to open her gifts here with Chase, Owen and Gavin waiting patiently.

Here is Sophia with her ballerina cake just minutes before all the little girls showed up for her birthday party...she was so excited!
We had some games ready for them in the basement that were a big hit...oh, and it always helps to have a husband that likes to entertain and can act as a stand-in comic/clown:)
