A Visit From The Volesky's

Way back in June my parents came for a visit.  It ended up to be the same weekend that Patrick was gone camping in the Boundary Waters.  We had a great time that weekend but missed having him there with us.  My brother, Lane, Uncle Keith and cousin, Chloe all came over one evening...here they are playing some cards.

Lane making G's hair look-oh-so-cool:(

I believe I gave him a haircut a few days after this:)

Lane and Gavin...best buddies.

Sophia was supposed to have her little gymnastics meet that weekend, which was why my parents made the trip up in the first place.  Well, we had some severe storms that weekend and much to our dismay, the meet was canceled due to them not being able to get power back up in time!  Sophia was crushed!  She had been sooo excited to have everyone here that was going to come and watch her...poor girl.  So, to try and take her mind off of that, we decided to go and do something fun...we took the kids to the MOA so they could go on some fun rides....boy was that a hit!

Papa Ken, Gavin, Nana Bobbie and Sophia.  These pictures were taken before we headed off the the MOA.

and now with Lane too....

I had to get in one too:)

Soph and Gav on the first ride of the afternoon....they had those smiles permanently on their little faces!

Since I am pregnant and could not go on really any rides with the kids, Lane and my Dad had to step up and take the plunge.  Here they are ready for a mini rollercoaster!

Arms up in the air everyone!  S & G were not scared of any rides and went on the most that they have ever gone on before!

Sophia even went on a big kid ride...and she loved it of course:)  Lane and her are in the middle ready to start.

Now they are way up in the right hand corner of this picture!

Blue's Clue's Adventure!

Now the big semi trucks...

They even went on the bumper cars!

Lane took this picture of my mom and I because we were literally crying the whole time the kids were on the bumper car ride because it was so darn funny!  That ride was a bit too advanced for them yet and Sophia is not the most experienced driver...oh so darn funny!

The kids had to make a stop for a picture with Dora too.

Such a fun time and a great weekend with my family...I sure love having them around!
