New Adventures

2012 has brought some new experiences for us Berger's. Sophia and I got ice skates for our birthdays and so one beautiful, sunny and quite warm January day (I don't think that I have ever said "warm" and "January" in the same sentence before) we all went ice skating at our little neighborhood ice skating rink. It was so fun! It has been over 20 years since the last time that I had ice skated and Sophia's 1st time ever! I actually could do it and I didn't even fall:) I surprised myself for sure! For Sophia it was maybe a bit harder than she expected it would be. Poor girl could barely stand and she hung onto Daddy with all she had....she still had a good time though:} Here are her and Daddy looking pretty good on those skates!

This one cracks me up!

"Help me Daddy!"

Such a big girl!

Little Gav had a good time too...although he didn't skate....he did fall on the ice a few times:)

Oh Gav! You are such a cute and funny little guy!

Another new adventure was the kids both getting their first real haircut at a salon! They were both so serious about it as you will be able to tell from the following pictures. They did good though as long as they were holding my hand the whole time...very sweet...I am kind of getting nervous for the dentist appointments though!

No smiles.

So serious.

The finished product...sooo much better!

32 Years

On January 26th, I turned 32 years old...wow! It is just another year but now I am starting to prefer that time go slower or perhaps, just stand still. But none the less, it was a great day that I spent with my family.
The kids helped me make my favorite cupcakes in the morning or that is what we thought going to do until we found out that we didn't have enough eggs....so, we packed up in record time for a quick trip to the grocery store. I thought that while we were there that we would pick up some other things on the list too. So, after going though the whole store we get in line to check out and Sophia looks up at me and says, "But Mom, we didn't even get any eggs."
So I don't know if this story is indicator of my age or of hers but I was quite thankful of Sophia's fabulous, never-forgetting 4 yr. old mind:)
Patrick brought some sushi home for dinner and that concluded my birthday day. It was good.

Sophia putting the sprinkles on m birthday cupcakes.

She is such a good helper!

Me and my sushi dinner...yum!

Cheers!

Me and my 2 favorite kiddos. I am so very lucky.

Soph and Mama.

We had to get Millie in one picture too:)

My loves.
