Edinborough Park

Gavin, Sophia, Sydney and Avery...all cute little friends:)

A few days before school started, we met our good friends, the Matson's, at Edinborough Park in Edina for some fun.  Boy did the kids love it!  They were all hot and sweaty from running around, bouncing in bounce houses and playing in the indoor jungle gym.

Sophia and Sydney were born 10 weeks apart and are now both starting Kindergarten!

Friends.

Our Little Kindergartener!

On September 5th was Sophia's 1st day of Kindergarten at Jonathon Elementary in Chaska!  She was sooo excited and a bit nervous....I was a bit nervous too.  We woke up and I made her choice of breakfast, which was chocolate chip pancakes, got ready for school and took some pictures.
Here is our little girl on her 1st big day of school....could not be more proud of her:)

Had to get one of her and her little bro too.

I love her little anxious grin in this one:)

Sophia in front of Jonathon Elementary.

I was so proud of her and there were no tears at all!  She was totally ready for this day!  She is going to be going full day and we all could not be more happy about that too...again, she is soooo ready for that!  Here she is about to put her backpack away in her locker.

And now in front of her desk too.

I am one proud Mama with my 2 little ones....my are they growing up fast!

Sophia's 1st day turned out just wonderful as well as everyday since.  She always comes out with a smile on her face and excited to tell us about what she did that day.  She likes her teacher, Mr. Carlson and has made a lot of new little friends.
At this point in time, Sophia would like to be a veterinarian, gymnastics teacher and a Mommy when she grows up...she is going to be one busy lady!  You go Sophia!  Only the sky is the limit!

Our little school girl on Day #2....I couldn't resist:)

My Cutie-Pies

Sophia & Gavin LOVE to ride their bikes!  They have both gotten so good at it too (Sophia without training wheels and Gavin with training wheels)!  I love this picture of them on their bikes:)

The week before Sophia started Kindergarten, we had an open house at Jonathon Elementary to go to.  She got to meet her teacher (Mr. Carlson), put her school supplies in her desk and take a tour of the school.  Boy is she ready for Kindergarten!  Here the kids are posing for a few pictures before the open house....

Best buds.

My pretty girl.

Handsome little G.

One of my favorite pics!  I don't think I have one of the kids and Millie all smiling and looking good together:)

So cute!  They sure love each other!

Last Day @ Gymnastics

My little gymnast.

Sadly, after 3 years of being at Elite Gymnastics in Burnsville, it came time for us to leave.  Elite has been such a great gym for Sophia over the years and she has learned so much and actually became a gymnast.  It makes me so unbelievingly proud to watch my little girl practice.  I was a gymnast from age 3-18 and coached from age around 15-22.  Needless to say, gymnastics has been a huge part of my life and some of my best memories from my childhood have to do with gymnastics.  When we started Sophia in gymnastics I didn't know if she would like it or turn out to be good at it, but, she did!  Now, she loves to go to practice and loves to learn new skills and is really talented.  I coached girls her age and know the things to look for and I would have wanted her on my team.  I really am not just saying that because I am her mom.
Anyway, the last 3 years have been great.  Now that we have moved to Chaska, Elite is just too far away for us to drive.  I was even a bit choked up as we left the gym for the last time.
In Chaska, we do live pretty close to some good gyms so we will have to get her started back into it this fall or winter.  I just hope we can find a gym that has treated us as good as Elite.
Here are some pictures from Sophia's last day at Elite....

Her coach spotting her on a fairly new skill.

Sophia is a hard worker...here she practicing and practicing.

Happy girl!

Wow!  Look at how pretty that looks!  Go Soph!
