Father's Day Weekend On The Lake

Sophia and Gavin excited for their 1st pontoon ride of the summer!

We were in Waconia for Father's Day weekend this year and the weather was beautiful!  We were able to get in some good quality time out on the pontoon and Patrick was able to do some fishing too.  It was a good weekend for us all:)

The next day, Father's Day, Sandy and the kids and I met Patrick, Jim and Jeff out on the pontoon.  The guys had all gone fishing together and had some good success!  Here is Sophia playing in the sand while we wait for them to pick us up.

 I just had to take some pictures of my kids this day because they looked oh-so-cute!

Bikes & Skooters

 Since the weather has FINALLY gotten a bit better, we have been able to get outside for some fun activities.  Last summer, Sophia learned to ride her bike without training wheels (yeah!) so has been very excited to try that out again!  This summer is Gavin's 1st time riding his bike with training wheels!!!  He is sooo proud of himself!  We took a walk around this little lake by our house and he rode the whole way!!  He is sure becoming a big boy!

Sophia has gotten quite good on her scooter this summer....I could not believe how she cruises around the driveway!

Sophia Graduates From Preschool!

 

 I can't believe our little girl has graduated from Preschool and is going to be off to Kindergarten!  This year sure flew by fast!  Sophia loved every minute of Preschool!

They had a nice graduation ceremony for the class that was moving onto Grade K in the fall.  It consisted of singing a few songs (with actions built in of coarse) and then a graduation march while playing the "real" graduation song.  That definitely brought tears to my eyes:)  Then each of the kids had their name called and they walked up on the podium and received their "diploma"...yes, it was quite the big deal.  Snacks and drinks were served afterward.  Here are several pictures....

What a great year it has been for our little girl....excited to see what other good times the future holds.

Big News!

 

Yes, Berger Baby #3 is on the way!!!  This was quite a surprise to us all at first but we are excited to add another child to our family.  Sophia and Gavin are sooo excited!  They are going to be just great with a little baby around:)

I am due on Nov. 28 but will have a scheduled c-section (as I did with my other 2 kids) around Nov. 21.  In this picture I am 13 weeks along, just finished with the 1st trimester.  I have been feeling ok and glad that I am now not sooo tired.

In spite of learning that we were going to have a 3rd child, we decided to make our lives a bit more interesting and we put our house up for sale...yeah, we might be a little crazy:(  Anyway, we ended up selling our house on our own in 2 weeks time (yeah!-I don't think we could have survived doing it any longer) and are just now starting the process of building a house in Chaska, MN.  We fell in love with a neighborhood there that we feel will be a perfect fit for our growing family.  We also found a lot and decided to go through with deal!  In Chaska we will be closer to friends and family which will be very nice as well as just being back in the western suburbs like we have been longing to do.  This is going to be quite the journey as we will have to rent a place in Chaska starting in September as our house will not be finished for several months.  Sophia will start kindergarten at about that same time. Also, this means probably not being in our new home before the baby is born. (sigh!)  I guess good things come for those who wait, right?
