On January 2nd, Sophia turned 7 years old!
And for Sophia's 7th birthday she got her ears pierced! She has been waiting for this for a long time and we finally made it a reality. She was a bit nervous but handled it really well....I guess she really is turning into a "big girl".
One happy girl with her newly pierced ears!
We went out for dinner that evening as a family (after the ear piercing) to celebrate.
Here are the birthday girl and little brother excited to eat some yummy dessert!
Can't believe our little girl is already 7???
The second time we celebrated Sophia's bday (yes, there were 3 times total) was with my family when they were in town a week later.
Here are some more of our bday girl....
All dressed up looking oh-so-cute!

More of our family....
So now we are here at our 3rd celebration....the birthday party with friends! 3 weeks after her actual bday, we had a party at our house with 14 friends of Sophia's that came to help her celebrate. It was a wild and crazy 2 hours full of bingo, painting tea cups, opening gifts, eating snacks, singing "Happy Birthday" and having birthday cake. Sophia felt very special:)
Thanks so much to all who came and helped her celebrate!
Notice Patrick's face in the back....he said he tried to "photobomb" the picture but I think that is how he was actually feeling...haha:)

One proud, happy girl.
Blowing out her candles...
Well, that was one great birthday for Miss Sophia that somehow seemed to stretch over the whole month of January. We are so proud of our little 7 year old...time has really flown by!
Happy 7th birthday to you, Sophia! You are so very special to us all!
